Agatha Christie Blogathon: Day 2 Recap

17 Sep

It’s been a wonderful Day 2 of the Agatha Christie Blogathon! We have had Miss Marples of all kinds – in between the pages, as Margaret Rutherford, as Helen Hayes. We also have some more Hercule Poirot posts, as well. Proving that one cannot possibly have too much Agatha Christie!

Tomorrow, there will be a recap of all the posts related to everything Agatha Christie that is NOT related to Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot.

rutherford-marpleOld Hollywood Films overviews Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple.

the-murder-at-the-vicarageCleopatra Loves Books reviews the novel The Murder at the Vicarage.

The Duchess getting strangled

Christina Wehner (ahem) writes about Miss Marple, Sleeping Murder, and The Duchess of Malfi.

Updates to the Hercule Poirot Day 1 Recap can be found here.

Thanks so much everyone for making this another fabulous day of posts! And thanks so much to you, Domi, for suggesting this blogathon and co-hosting!

Hope people tackle And Then There Were None, Murder is Easy, and Death Comes at the End.

There will be some movie reviews of some of those! Death Comes at the End would be a real fascinating one to explore – I remember reading it once, but it was so long ago, I didn’t know what to make of it at the time, because it was so different from her other ones. But this blogathon has made me want to go back and revisit so many of these. I hadn’t been reading Agatha Christie recently, and I’ve been rediscovery the pleasures of her books. 🙂

Thanks, Christina! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the Poirot and Marple posts and am looking forward to seeing what people come up with for tomorrow. But this has been totally fatal for my to-be-watched-and-read lists so far, so I’m kinda scared too… 😉

Oh, no! It sounds like a horror story – lists that grow uncontrollably and take on a life of their own! But I’m glad it’s been an enjoyable horror story – chills (from the growing -list) with the enjoyment. 🙂

So looking forward to tomorrow’s posts, too!
